With 88 pro bodybuilders and figure competitors in the house, the WNBF Pro Natural Nature's Best World Championships and WNBF Pro Natural Gatorz Ms. Exercise World Figure Contest were a huge success on November 11, 2006, in New York City. The WNBF awarded a total of more than $34,000 in prize money in men's and women's bodybuilding and pro figure at the competition.
The event was co-promoted with the INBF MuscleTech Amateur World Bodybuilding & Figure Championships, where 102 contestants took the stage. Athletes from nearly a dozen countries participated, and teams came from Switzerland, Great Britain, Canada, Germany, the Cayman Islands and Japan, among others. Jon Harris was named overall Pro World Champion, as he took the middleweight crown and went on to defeat Luis Santiago (lightweight) and Ben Tennessen (heavyweight) in the posedown. Harris earned $6000 in victory.
Among the Women, Cheryl Myers claimed the heavyweight class and overall title, winning over Brenda Rahe (lightweight). Cheryl took home $4000.
Angela Mraz returned to successfully defend her Ms. Exercise World Figure title, overcoming Amy Llinas (tall class) in the final comparisons. The Ms. Exercise victor won $1200.
The WNBF schedule for 2007 includes a return to the Cayman Islands, new shows in Las Vegas and Orlando and the return of the Masters Cup (for both men and women over age 40). More than $80,000 will be awarded in 2007. Recommend this article to a friend by e-mail here! Visitor Reviews Of This Article!
