Day # 40 of 56 - 02-27-02

Finally an easy morning to get up out of bed. I felt good this morning, strong and full of energy and I didn't do anything different today than any other day of the week. I decided to try out a new gym that just opened up in my area this morning and I must say it was really sweet. Had all the latest equipment, hammer strength, cybex, bodymaster, and very nice place.

Today for calves I decided to just to heavy and controlled for 3 sets of Standing raises and seated raises for 10-15 reps each. My calves are already sore.

Close grip bench - 2x10 - 135lbs, 1x10 - 225lbs, 1x8 - 245lbs, 1x10 - 225lbs
Skull crushers - 1x10 - 75lbs, 1x10 - 95lbs
Push downs - 1x12 - 80lbs, 1x12 - 90lbs
Overhead cable extensions - 2x10 - 120lbs
One arm over head extensions - 1x10 - 35lbs
Kickbacks - 1x12 - 35lbs
Cybex tricep extension machine - 1x10 - 90lbs, 1x10 - 100lbs drop set down to 1x10 - 50lbs (first time for me to ever use this machine, very sweet, really nailed my triceps today)
Barbell curls - 2x10 - 45lb bar, 1x8 - 135lbs, 1x6 - 155lbs, 1x8 - 135lbs, 1x10 - 70lbs
Incline dumbbell curls - 1x10 - 35lbs, 1x10 - 45lbs
Hammer preacher curl - 2x10 - 100lbs or so, no idea what the bar weighs
Two arm cable curls - 2x10 - 50lbs
Cybex curl machine - 1x10 - 70lbs, 1x4 - 90lbs drop set to 1x8 - 50lbs (another first time machine, really good machine too, really hit the bicep from all angles)

It was nice to use some of the new equipment today; I just may have to see about getting a membership here. When I trained traps on Wednesday I blasted them to some very obvious new growth. This morning when I got up I noticed that I have 3 parallel stretch marks running from my neck to my shoulder area.

They must have popped up in the night because they sure weren't there last night before I went to bed, I did notice that they fell a lot fuller than normal. The battle scars of growth, I love it. The weekend couldn't have come at a better time; I need the 2 days for rest and recovery. Until Monday.
