How did you get into the Fitness Industry & start modeling?

About 3 years ago I picked up an issue of Bob Kennedy's OXYGEN magazine and the Covermodel really inspired me! I had realized that you don't have to be super young and super thin to start a modeling career.

You have been see in layouts and on well known covers of Ironman, Musclemag Inernational, American Curves, Hot Boats, Low Rider, OYE Latin magazine, Allure, Planet Muscle... Wow! How did you get all this exposure?

I have been busting my tail to get my name out there & it has really paid off considering that I've only been doing this for about 2 years. I was determined to get published & it's really all about building relationships with people in any industry.

Who are your favorite music artists/bands?

I like a variety of music from Rap to Jazz & Electronica music, Vanessa Daou, Sade, Simply Red, Creed, Les Nubians, DJ Tiesto Mixes, Madonna, Enigma, Celia Cruz, Easy E (old skool)... the list goes on!

What TV Shows do you like the best?

I watch very little TV because I don't have the time nor do I want to be a couch potato but I do love the following:

Forensic Files
Discovery Channel
TLC
Sex and the City
Sopranos
Everybody Loves Raymond
Will & Grace
News channels to keep up on what's going on in the world.
I hate reality shows! Yuk.

How many times a week do you train?

People think I'm a "gym rat" but the truth is... I am blessed with decent genetics. I keep it simple. I weight train every body part on average 3-5 times per week and I do cardio like 1-2 times per week. I would like to be in the gym 6 times a week, but my schedule is too hectic. I practically live on an airplane! There should be gyms on an airplane... on second thought... there is no fresh air!

What about diet?

I try to eat pretty clean, but I do cheat once in a while. My biggest weakness is PIZZA, potatoe chips & fine wines. Most people crave sweets, but I like the salty and greasy stuff.

What is your favorite thing to do?

Travel around the world. I love different cultures, people & languages. I speak 4 languages already. Spanish, Portuguese, Italian & English. French is next on my list.

If you weren't doing print modeling what else would you be doing?

I'd love to host the Wild on "E" show just so I can travel the world. I've always imagined being a "Rockstar"... like Pat Benetar in the 80's. She was a little girl with a BIG VOICE.

What is your dream date?

Staying in a sky scraper hotel suite with the man I love overlooking the view of Manhattan, NY with a huge hot tub, champagne, pink roses, candles & satin sheets. Nothin' Fancy! lol Of course that would never be on a first date, but maybe second or third!

Is there anything that most people would find surprising about you?

I'm very down to earth even though I may look "high maintenance". God is my hero! And I hope to live a long, healthy, happy and successful life for my grandchildren to witness.

What is the wildest thing you've done?

I woke up one morning I just had to go to Italy so I went to the local travel agency and booked a ticket to Florence, Italy for one month to study Italian. I didn't know a single soul, but had the best experience of my life & met lots of interesting people. My ex-boyfriend was bummed.

What projects do you have coming up in the near future?

I have a 2004 calendar that I appear in for Pilsen, a local beer company in Costa Rica. I'm working on a part in a movie. And I have a few covers coming out in Fitness, Fashion & specialty magazines. Also, Michael Neveaux (Ironman) is coming out with a new paint ball magazine (coming this summer) that I did a layout for. Will keep ya posted on everything.

Any last words for your fans?

Yeah, dreams keep you alive. Never stop dreaming! Live every day like it's your last day on earth!
