Ok, this is it the last week of the AST Challenge, to be honest the only thing that's keeping me going is the fact that we fly out to Las Vegas at the end of the week, so I've just got to hang in there a few days more...
The training this week is pretty much just high reps conditioning training to get the very best out of the muscles that we have built up over the last 7 weeks - the cardio is still about 45 minutes just about every night and we don't want to train too hard and use muscle as fuel. But saying that John and I still put in some intense workouts, not very long and lots of high rep stuff but still intense.

Wow, Look At That Vascularity!
The whole AST Challenge has been one he!! of an experience - in many good ways as well as a few bad ones, but all in all I am so glad I did it. A few years ago when John and I started training together I remember him saying that diet was as important if not more than training in the gym itself, he said that the perfect balance was 70% diet, 20% training and 10% sleep (recovery), and I was a bit sceptical to say the least...
But over the years, John pestered me to improve my diet which I did and slowly I came round to taking supplements as well, like the AST products.
Now let me make this absolutely clear that my wife has a Ph.D. in Biology and checks everything that I take to make sure its ingredients are natural and will not have any adverse affects.
The one thing the AST Challenge has shown me is that John was right and that the right combination of supplements with the correct training and lots of hard work and rest it is totally possible to change your body dramatically.

We are doing a photo shoot before we leave for Las Vegas and the results will be there for all to see and judge, a friend of ours will be taking the pictures in our gym with no fancy lights or effects in any way, just a black sheet in the back ground. So remember that fact if you compare the results with any you see in a magazine that are professionally done and sometimes adjusted afterwards to make the pictures even better.
Personally, I'm not totally happy with the end result, but over all I'm happy and certain things I think improved more than I could have hoped, but if I was completely happy then I would not feel the need to train any more, and that ain't going to happen.
Lastly, I would really like to thank Bodybuilding.com for the help and support, my wife for putting up with the new diet and training, and finally John, without a great training partner like John to train with this would not have been possible, cheers dude. My Bar!!!
