The new study validated that the earlier studies were correct in a profound way. What was suggested is that proper GABA (Gamma-amino-beta-hydroxybutyric acid) supplementation can in fact significantly increase GH... even when awake.

The Shenendoah University study validated that when the subjects took GABA, they increased their natural GH levels after the workout. Cool so far, huh? More importantly they increased GH levels at rest even more compared to when they took the placebo. Cool so far? It is IF the GH increase isn't simply transitory and the right unique GABA analog actually makes it through the blood brain barrier.
