For a male, the Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Testes-Axis is the way their body produces most of its supply of natural testosterone. Within this system there are two separate negative feed back loops (androgen and estrogen) that regulate how much the Hypothalamus and Pituitary signal the testes to produce testosterone.
