Warming Up Properly And Post-Workout Stretching

Warming Up

Warming up before a workout is vital to avoid injury. 5-10 minutes of cardio gets your blood flowing and increases your body temperature. This increases nutrient delivery and mobility of your muscles and joints.

Warm-up sets lubricate joints and prepare your muscles for the heavier sets to come.

Post-Workout Stretching

At the end of every workout you should stretch the muscles you just worked. Stretching decreases stiffness and increases flexibility. This is key to preventing injuries and muscle tears.

Cardio
