Q

How did your bodybuilding journey begin?

My fitness journey began when I was 14 years old. I didn't know much about the sport of bodybuilding at the time, but it was always inside of me. I always wanted to be the biggest, fastest, and strongest. To this day, that has not changed. I had lifted weights for sport, but that's all it was to me. I was just "lifting weights." I was in the 8th grade when I started at a local gym.

Everyone else around me in the gym was a lot older and much bigger than I was. I was a 6-foot-2, 145-pound 8th grader. I felt pretty stringy next to all the shorter, stockier men in the gym. But that wasn't going to stop me from coming in every day and busting my butt to get better.

"Work just as hard when no one else is around."

How did your passion for bodybuilding emerge?

My passions for bodybuilding started as I began reading more articles on Bodybuilding.com. The more I read, the more I started to understand how my muscles worked. I began to grow an obsession with my body and building it to my best potential. The sport of bodybuilding has helped me in so many aspects in my life. It's not just a sport or hobby for me, it's a lifestyle.

What or who motivated you?

Bodybuilding.com articles and YouTube videos have always been my go-to websites for motivation and inspiration. There are always so many great athletes with new and different ways of maximizing results, and I love learning different techniques and approaches to lifting.

What are your future bodybuilding plans?

I plan on working my butt off until I get my pro card in men's physique and someday walk on the Olympia stage among the best in the world.

What is the most important bodybuilding tip?

Do not worry about when people are watching. Work just as hard when no one else is around. Focus on the stretch and contraction of the muscle and always remember to focus on form over weight!

Who is your favorite bodybuilder?

I would say Steve Cook in men's physique is my favorite for the simple fact that he is so humble and has a great personality. The guy also has an outstanding physique!
